Raised in New York City, David Soman grew up in a family of artists and has always loved drawing and painting. When his mom stopped him from practicing his art on the kitchen walls, and gave him some paper instead, his career path was set. Over the years, he has illustrated many books, and with his wife Jacky Davis, co-wrote and illustrated the New York Times best-selling book series, Ladybug Girl as well as two books about Agent Lion. David’s solo books include Three Bears in a Boat, The Monster Next Door, How to Two, and The Impossible Mountain. His next book, Papa’s Home, will be published in Spring of 2023.
When not working on a new book, or making coffee, David teaches at The School of Visual Arts in NYC.
David lives in Rosendale, NY, with his family and a big, furry dog named Pico.
